Commentary
Hints of the different worlds we enter when we experience loss. This song
was written for my colleague Lisa after the death of her mother.
Today is not a real day.
Time has lost its meaning today
I am colour blind.
I'm in a fish tank, today.
Eat, if I remember.
Sleep, if it remembers me.
The laws of physics are suspended.
Surroundings are a million miles away, today.
Why did you have to go?
Why did you have to go?
Why did you have to go?
So, through the motions...
Into a fog, but not out the other side...
Voices I should recognise ask me if I'm OK...
Of course I am!
What are you expecting me to say?
Today.
Why did you have to go?
Why did you have to go?
Why did you have to go?
